Association Casablancaise d’Astronomie
L’Association Casablancaise d’Astronomie, a été fondée le 18 février 2006 lors de l’assemblée générale constitutive organisée
par les membres fondateurs. Elle représente l’extension et l’officialisation de l’Astroclub de Casablanca, né à la suite de la rencontre entre quelques amateurs d’astronomie lors de la 1ère nuit des étoiles organisée par le Centre Culturel Français de Casablanca le 18 Juin 2004 et de la nuit des étoiles 2004 organisée par l’observatoire de Rabat le 12 août de la même année. L’ACA est la 1ère association d’astronomie ouverte au grand public au sein de la ville de Casablanca.

The Rabat astronomy association is a a non-profit organisation that has as a main goal to share informations about astronomy with common people in ordre to make them familiar with science. Our activities are : workshops, conferences and observations with telescope.

Mizar Astronomy club is one of five astronomy clubs of the Aldebaran Project in morocco.
The project aims to create school clubs all over Morocco within the UNESCO ASPnet school network and publics schools .
The club is involved in many international programs as UNAWE, GTTP , GHOU.
The club organizes regularly activites with the students : workshops, UNAWE workshops, stargazing, observation. It participate in international celebrations ( Spaceweek, GAM) as well as national astronomy festivals.
The club is the focal point for other nearby school interested in the discipline. The club had organised Galileo training sessions for teachers who belong to
Idriss 1 middle school AZROU and other schools.
The club is equiped with a Goto 150 mm Newton Telescope and a skyscout

Observatory:
Oukaimeden Observatory Marrakech
The Oukaïmeden Observatory located at 50km south of of Marrakech (Morocco) is operated by the Cadi Ayyad University and have been inaugurated in 2007. Located in the High Atlas Mountains, at an elevation of 2750m, the observatory benefits of good observing conditions in a semi desert area with a median seeing of 1 arcsec.

The MOSS telescope has a large field of view and is mainly devoted to new minor planets search. The telescope has a 0.50m parabolic prime mirror and is used at prime focus with a Wynne corrector (F/D=3.0). The detector is a SBIG STL11000 based on a Kodak KAF 11000 chip. The image scale is 1.2 arcsec/pixel. The FOV is 1.5 square degrees.
The MOSS telescope is used in remote control. It is operated by the three partners in Marrakech, France and Switzerland.
